Training

The aim with the training is to educate specialists within the scientific field defined by the MOLPROP project, and to train general skills in theory and in scientific computing. The network offers the following measures for the training:

  1. Postdoctoral twinning

The young researcher can be involved in a given twinning program, involving more than one nodes per project.

  2. Ph.D. student mobility

Ph.D. students involved in MOLPROP are encouraged to spend time at other nodes to broaden perspective.

  3. Meetings, Workshops and Seminars

...are essential to the training. About 10 network meetings are scheduled.

  4. Summer and Winter schools

Participation in summer and winter schools is supported:

    1. The SOSTRUP Summer School on Molecular Properties. Organized and staffed by the Oslo and Odense partners.

    2. The Finnish winter school in Theoretical Chemistry. Organized by the Helsinki partner.
    3. The Swedish graduate research school in Scientific computing.

  5. IT-training with computational exercises over the net.

This concerns exercises in computing, taking on real problems for molecular modeling.

The training program is focussed to theoretical and computational chemistry, but covers areas of numerical analysis, quantum theory, molecular physics, computing and programming.
