Research:
Our field of research activities are concerned with molecular properties, which describes the responses of molecular charges to external fields. We are developing new theoretical and computational tools for addressing such properties relevant to Raman spectroscopy. A motivation for our interest in this field is the use of resonant Raman spectroscopy (RRS) and coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) for stand-off detection of gaseous samples at ultra-low concentrations. In such applications, the Raman spectra function as fingerprints of the explored substances. We use Neolith super-computers at the (NSC) for simulations of molecular materials.
